Toby Loves Mitch

When Mitch got home from scout camp this is how Toby greeted him...

Snipe was the sole survivor...

Here is Snipe sitting on Carson's bedroom window sill.
He's our sole survivor!

Carson is 5!!

Top 5 reasons Carson is the BEST 5 year old EVER!
5. Silly boy - makes me laugh everyday!
4. Never had a "terrible two" stage and potty trained in one day
3. So very cute!
2. Still loves to cuddle (mostly with Toby but I get my snuggles too!)
1. No one better to be our Grande Finale!

We had a small party for Carson at our friends' pool (thanks again K family!)
Carson and one of his BEST friends Tessa
Matthew and James live right across the street!

Story: I thought using tin foil instead of tissue paper was such a cute idea...especially for a boy! BUT, apparently this gift was wrapped by a "Dad". He couldn't find the tissue paper and ended up using tin foil instead! They later apologized for using tin foil but I still think it's a way cool idea!
Our Bishop is the BEST! Anytime you need balloons for ANY reason you can go over to his house (even if it's an hour before the party) and he'll have them ready for you. I asked for 1 balloon - I got a dozen!!

Jamsie did NOT want his picture taken - LOVE those eyes!
Alden is Carson's preschool friend

Tessa has some major posing while jumping skillz

Carson loved all the pool toys
We got this pool for the kids for Carson's birthday. They LOVE it and therefore I LOVE it! They will actually leave the computers/Ipods/ DSi's/ Wii and go outside in the 100*+ weather and have a ton of fun!

First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage...

We'll wait a bit for the rest of that...

The oldest grandchild on my side of the family (Felshaw's) is getting married!

Whitney has decided that Dan can handle being in our family FOREVER! They will be married in the Council Bluffs, IA Temple on August 14, 2009

Aren't they so cute?!

See how tall he is and how short she is?
So much fun!
She looks most like her Aunt Pam...I think ;)

Yes...he'll fit right in!

Romeo is dead...

We started with 4 eggs...found only 3 birdies hatched...and found Nemo on the ground this afternoon - sadly he had passed.  Scott put him in the trash can but we may be having a ceremony soon.  Carson said, "Aww, that poor dead birdie!  Why can't we bury him and then use spray paint to mark it with an X?"
Later this afternoon we found Pip (formerly Romeo, Rylee is a girl and will change her mind if she wants to, thank you very much!) on the ground - still alive!  Scott put some gloves on and put her back only for her to fall out again a few minutes later.  Then we left to go to Sonic for our FREE root beer floats and when we got back poor Pip was on the ground again!!  We think Snipe is mean and pushing her out.  This time Mitch put on a glove and put her back but Snipe had taken over the nest and there wasn't much room for her.  Hence...Snipe is a meanie head!
See how Pip is just teatering on the edge of the nest?!
Meanie head Snipe won't let her in!

So, like the good mother that I am, I put on a glove and made room for her.
We are worried about Pip...she has fallen 3 times and looks a bit broken up!  We haven't seen Mama Bird around in a while either.  We'll be sayin' a prayer for her tonight and hoping that our trying to help her hasn't hurt her.

Snipe, Nemo and Romeo

The kids have named them.  Probably because they are a little cuter than the last time we saw them.  We heard them squeeking this morning and climbed up to take a look - you can click on the pictures to get a better look too!
You can see 2 beaks on the left
A little less creepy with the cute down feathers sprouting

Dinner with the K's

One afternoon, right in the middle of my last swim lesson, Scott calls me and says, "Hurry home, we're going out to eat with the Kobialka's!"  So I did!  We love this family and always have so much fun when we're with them.  Our kids are all the same age...except for Mitch.  We just got a little earlier start than they did.
