64% Savings!

I did it!
I finally did it!
I have been a member of Coupon$ense.com and have been saving my coupons for a couple of months now.  Every time I tried to go shopping I would print out my list and then.....nothing.  I would chicken out and not go.  I wouldn't cut a single coupon.  
Today was the day!
My friend and Coupon Queen, Vonda, came to my house to hold my wimpy little hand.  I printed out my list and she sat with me while we cut coupons!  It didn't take long and we had so much fun chatting! 
Then it was OFF TO THE STORE!!
I had to bring Rylee and Carson with me cuz my 2 babysitters were busy with friends.  I'm OK with that because they are not on the computer when they are with friends.    I bribed R & C with Sonic Happy Hour if they were good.
They were good.
We strolled thru the store with our carts filling up with all sorts of deals.  We got some funny looks from some people and questions from others.  Vonda is an AMAZING teacher - teaching about coupons right in the middle of the frozen foods aisle. 
At check out I looked at all I had and wondered if I shouldn't put some back.  
Nope - let's do this!
Here is what I got.

Here is what I saved.
$286.86 worth of groceries for $104.56
A savings of 64%
Not bad for a wimpy beginner!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I HAVE HAD A LOT OF 99% SAVINGS DAYS BUT THE BEST ARE THE ONES THAT 100% SAVINGS!

I BLOG ABOUT GROCERY SHOPPING TOO! MY HUBBY THOUGHT I WAS ABSOLUTELY NUTS UNTIL I CAME HOME WITH 52 CASES OF POWERADE AND $600.00 WORTH OF GROCERIES FOR $9.83 ONE DAY. AND THEN I DONTED ALMOST HALF OF IT TO HIS FOOD DRIVE AND GOT A TAX WRITE OFF! I WON'T EVEN MENTION THE 500 BOXES OF GRANOLA BARS I GOT FOR FREE!!!!! THAT WAS THE BEST DEAL EVER!!!!

COUPONS MAKE ME SHAKE I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!

Has my absence made your heart grow fonder?

Just wondering... I'm back I'm behind I'm intimidated There is no way that I can "catch up" with this blog.  It's a daunting task.  It's one reason I'm so far behind!  I want to post but then I see the enormous amount of time and posts that have past since my last and I walk away. So...I will sum up.   Sorry...wordy and no pictures. After our fun trip to Moberly, MO, we joined Jen, her kids and Gma J in a caravan to SLC for the Plewe Family Reunion.  We were so excited to be traveling with family making travel life more fun with cousins!  We did have fun but the hellish travel trends continued to plague us!  At one stop Gma locked her keys in the car...we waited for a LONG time till AAA could come and break us in.  This put us into our first stop pretty late but nothing unmanageable.  However, when we got to our hotel in Cheyenne, WY the hotel we had a reservation at (and called to confirm just a couple hours before) had given our ...
