Whitney's Shower - 8/4/09

The oldest grandchild on my (Felshaw) side got married on August 14, 2009. She had a Bridal Shower on August 4th. I wasn't able to be there physically but I did make sure that I was there in spirit and represented by a great gift and story.

More than 15 years ago, I was engaged and given a Bridal Shower. I got all the usual stuff - towels, place settings, bowls, utensils - but I also got the other usual stuff that's embarrassing to hold up in front of all those giggling ladies. I was given one in particular that when I held it up, Whitney (then 4 years old and so dang cute!) yelled out, "That dress is too small for Auntie Pammy! She should give it to me!" We had a great laugh!

Fast forward to August 4th and Whitney's very own Bridal Shower. I decided that she did need to have that "too small dress" and I sent it along with a letter explaining and a picture. I also included a NEW "too small dress" of her own so she's not stuck with my hand-me-downs.

Here's a video of her reading my letter of explaination...

Here she is holding up MY "too small dress"
and her very own new "too small dress"
Sure love ya Whitney!

That is destined to become of my most favorite stories ever! Very sweet and clever!
