Day 3 - San Dimas

It had been 10 years since I had visited San Dimas, CA where I grew up! Too long! So I made the family suffer through a nostalgic drive through my home town!

This is where I spent most of my teenage years

Teaching little swimmers in this pool

Training with my team and Coach Dave in this pool

Alma Mater - San Dimas High School
You may now make all the Raging Waters and Bill and Ted's jokes...now!

Driving up Fernridge Rd on the way to my childhood home

Lela's house across the street

1856 Hawkbrook Dr
San Dimas, CA 91773

This house looks NOTHING like it did when I lived there!
BUT! This tree I'm leaning on is exactly the same! I use to climb to the tip top!
I love this tree for staying the same!

Nothing

Kent, Caren and Karla Brownsberger's house
Next door neighbors since I was 1 year old! Karla and I are the same age.
Loved them!

Chris' house.
We used to get huge boxes and roll down his lawn and driveway in them.
Fun.

San Dimas Canyon Park
Also much different than when I was scared to go there because of the drugs and scary people. It looks so much better now!

We used to ride our bikes all the way to this 7-eleven for penny candy and Slurpees

My original In-n-Out in LaVerne
Debby Wieder and I ate here on Graduation night

The corner of Mr Godbey's room R-2 at SDHS. My favorite English class, Senior year (1989). My friends and I took a picture in this same corner.

Mr Godbey is still there!! But will be retiring after this school year.

Rylee holds the flowers for G'ma F's grave

Visiting my mother's grave in Glendora, Ca.
It's been 10 years since she passed.
I miss her

Scott pin-pointing her grave site with GPS coordinates

After the family survived my stroll down memory lane, we took the kids to...

Evike - Airsoft gun super store

Scott poses with the mannequin in Moberly style

This is what Carson is saving his money for
Ha ha

Rylee is funny too

Really Chase? A gold gun?

Mitch was in heaven!

We got to shoot the gun to make sure we liked it before Mitch bought it
Works for Chase

and Scott

and me

Rylee and Carson LOVED collecting all the BB's

Do you think he's happy?

We also went to see the New Port Beach temple
From the car...it was raining
