Everything's up to date in Kansas City...
they've gone about as fer as they could go!
Ha! Actually, we love KCK (Kansas City, Kansas)! After we spend time with Scott's family in Moberly, MO we travel 3 hours closer to home and stop by KCK. My sister Danene and my brother David both live within a mile of each other and we can see all our Felshaw cousins at once! My Dad and my oldest sister Dianne live just 3 hours north of KCK in Council Bluffs, IA (Winter Quarters temple is there) and they come down while we're there. The only one missing this year was my baby brother Paul who got a job in UT after many years in school....congrats bro!
My brother's house has a great basement that walks right out to a lake. My sister's house has all the late night fun.
Carson loved playing himself in air hockey
sometimes he let others play too
Rylee modeling the "scarf" I made during the whole trip. I finally had my Mom-in-Law teach me how to crochet and this is what I made. Of course we live in AZ and scarves aren't needed much so I kept it skinny and we'll just call it an accessory.
We found this friend in our room...YIKES! We thought this scary thing was a Silverfish but Scott decided to look it up online. It's actually called a House Centipede and it's supposed to be the most beneficial house bug ever. They eat things like Silverfish, scorpions, and other icky things but since it's so scary ugly no one wants to co-habitate with it. Scott smashed it with his shoe and it disintegrated into a million pieces. Ick!
This is Evil Brady
We had our Rockband set up, projected onto the wall
If you're ever in the KC area you HAVE to go to Sheridan's Frozen Custard. Mmmmmmm...Razzmatazz. It's so good that God put a rainbow right over it!
This is my good friend Rachel Benincosa. She lived in ABQ by us for all of 10 months. She and I became good friends in that short time. She has since moved to many different places and at this moment is living not 7 miles south of my family. It was fun to see them again after 5 years!
Rachel has 4 kids...triplets seen here with Chase. Aubrey, Brennan and Conner (A,B,C)
and here's Dallen (D) with Carson
After KCK we head home. Here's Mitch being silly trying to make the long drives more fun
Carson was a good boy...it's nice that all my kids are old enough that uncontrollable melt downs are pretty much non-existent now.
Of course I still love it when they take naps in the car...apparently Carson was cold here
And now a shameless personal plug. The license plate on this firetruck has my initials on it...PFJ
And if that's not enough for you...the trucking industry loves me too! Shameless.
