Easter 2008

When I was growing up, my parents always had arrangements with the Easter Bunny to come to our house on Friday night so that Easter Bunny stuff was celebrated on Saturday. Easter Sunday would then be all about Christ, His death and resurrection. My parents didn't like mixing the 2 and thought that Christ's atonement deserved it's very own special day. I loved that tradition and carried it on in my little family.

This year Chase was invited to go to Cali with his friend Tyler. He would be gone on Easter Bunny Day so we arranged with the Easter Bunny to come early to our house. He came very early on Thursday morning.

- My Mitchell -
Mitchell and Chase got a new Wii game - Super Smash Bros. Brawl!! Apparently it's a pretty awesome game cuz they play it everyday and usually have several friends over to play too!

- My Chase -
Rylee Jean needed, not wanted, needed a new bike. Her old one was actually a danger to herself and others so she got a shiny new one

On Saturday there were so many egg hunts that we had to cut it to only 2. Our ward had one in the morning and our neighborhood had one in the evening.

No wonder the Easter Bunny didn't leave much at our house, it looks like he left his whole load at yours :) What a fun Easter and I think next year I'm going to do the bunny thing on Saturday too, what a great idea.

Has my absence made your heart grow fonder?

Just wondering... I'm back I'm behind I'm intimidated There is no way that I can "catch up" with this blog.  It's a daunting task.  It's one reason I'm so far behind!  I want to post but then I see the enormous amount of time and posts that have past since my last and I walk away. So...I will sum up.   Sorry...wordy and no pictures. After our fun trip to Moberly, MO, we joined Jen, her kids and Gma J in a caravan to SLC for the Plewe Family Reunion.  We were so excited to be traveling with family making travel life more fun with cousins!  We did have fun but the hellish travel trends continued to plague us!  At one stop Gma locked her keys in the car...we waited for a LONG time till AAA could come and break us in.  This put us into our first stop pretty late but nothing unmanageable.  However, when we got to our hotel in Cheyenne, WY the hotel we had a reservation at (and called to confirm just a couple hours before) had given our ...
